Our formulations adhere to the latest safety and environmental guidelines published annually by the International Fragrance Research Association (IFRA).
What is the shelf life of my perfume?
Our perfumes are living entities that dance with time. When properly tended, these precious essences can maintain their enchantment for many moons (typically 2-3 years from first opening, though many continue their aromatic journey far beyond).
To preserve your potion's potency:
Keep your bottle in a cool, shadowed sanctuary, away from direct sunlight's transformative rays
Guard against the extremes of heat and cold, as dramatic shifts may alter the delicate balance of notes
You may notice your fragrance evolving subtly as it ages—particularly in the opening moments after applying. This is especially true of our citrus-blessed blends, which may briefly whisper with a sharp note before revealing their true character.
What is the concentration of my perfume?
Our alcohol-based perfumes are compounded to 18% concentration (Eau de Parfum), while our perfume oils are blended at 20% concentration. Each offers its own ritual of wear, oils whisper intimately against your skin creating a personal aura that lives close to you, while our alcohol-based scents bloom outward, announcing your presence with gentle authority. What’s the turnaround time on an order?
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–2 business days. Should we anticipate a longer delay, you’ll be notified immediately.
Can I send a fragrance back that I don’t like?
Each fragrance is a singular expression with its own story to tell. We
invite you to spend time with your chosen scent across several wearings. What seems unfamiliar at first breath may reveal its secret slowly, like night-blooming jasmine beneath starlight. For this reason, we cannot accept returns on fragrances.
Cancellations?
We accept cancellations within two hours of purchase via email: orders@blackswansociety.com
What if my order is damaged?
We replace items if they are defective or damaged within 3 days of delivery. If you need to exchange an item that is defective or damaged:
We will require:
Full details of your customer order number, which is provided in the invoice that arrives with your confirmation email, together with details of the items you wish to return. A picture of the damaged item or send the damaged item back to us before any exchange.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Lost or Stolen Packages:
Black Swan Society is not responsible for any lost or stolen packages. However, if a package is lost in transit by the carrier, we will make every effort to assist you in locating it. Please reach out to us, and we will work together with the carrier to resolve the issue.
